It’s your Advanced Apprenticeship. And you’ll enjoy it every day.

Our Advanced Apprenticeship Scheme is everything you need to build a really successful career with Network Rail. Over three years you’ll benefit from personal development and technical training that will turn you into an expert railway technician. You’ll spend the first year of the course at HMS Sultan in Gosport – Europe’s largest engineering training facility. As well as learning and living alongside the Royal Navy, you’ll get to share their state-of-the-art recreation and sports facilities too.

Today’s apprentices will become the backbone of our company. So you can tell why the scheme is really important to us. We’ve spent £30 million over the last 5 years to help develop the next generation of highly-skilled technicians - a huge investment in our future. Our commitment to the programme has even been recognised with a People Management Award. In June 2009 we won the Serco Talent Award, which praised our innovative approach to developing the next generation of technicians.
