Scheme
Our Advanced Apprenticeship Scheme is currently closed. If you
would like to register for our 2012 intake please
register here and we will notify you when we re-open. We will
start taking applications in January 2012, and would encourage you
to apply as early as possible, as we may close the website for new
applications once we have received sufficient for each
location.
To apply in 2012
You will need to be 17 by 10th September 2012 and have 4 GCSEs
at grade A-C (or equivalent), or 4 Scottish Standard grades 1-3 (or
equivalent) including English, Maths and Science or Engineering,
you will be able to apply.
Before you apply
It is important you understand what’s involved in a career with
Network Rail. Such is the importance of the job that we have a
strict policy on drug and alcohol use.
Remember, this is an outdoor job that often requires a good
level of physical fitness, so you should be prepared for that as
well. We will give you a full medical including sight and hearing
checks to make sure you meet our rigorous safety standards and we
will also request information from your doctor on any existing
medical condition, such as diabetes or any medications you’re being
prescribed. If you don’t pass the medical we cannot employ you.
Moreover, if you fail to disclose anything at this stage we will
have to withdraw the offer.

Applications are processed on a first come first served basis,
and once we have received sufficient applications for a location we
may close it to new candidates. We will update the vacancy
locations as applications come in, please check before
applying.

Network Rail is an A-rated Sponsor under Tier 2 of the UK
Immigration Points Based System (PBS). If you require a visa to
