Assistant Analyst [Energy Bureau]

Our Shared Services team deliver specialist processes that have a direct impact on the performance of Network Rail, our customers and suppliers. These services include payroll, accounts, finance, controls and compliance, reporting, recruitment and helpdesk support.

What you will be doing?

Our Shared Services team deliver specialist processes that have a direct impact on the performance of Network Rail, our customers and suppliers. These services include payroll, accounts, finance, controls and compliance, reporting, recruitment and helpdesk support.

As part of the Energy Bureau team you will report to the Energy Bureau Manager and provide support for information management, bill validation, query resolution, analysis and reporting.

As part of this this role you will need to demonstrate that you can use your own initiative to come to a resolution to issues that may arise

Main Responsibility

Here are just some of the things you will be getting involved in 

  • Undertake the validation of utility (electricity, gas and water) invoices, and the management of supplier bill queries
  • Raise purchase orders and ensure prompt payment of invoices to suppliers
  • Generate bills for external customers which receive utility supplies from Network Rail
  • Provide energy related advice and resolve queries from customers, both internal and external to Network Rail
  • Upload data and documents and make changes to the Energy Link database
  • Undertake the monitoring, measuring, analysis and reporting of energy usage
  • Support the development and continuous improvement of processes and services.

The Ideal Candidate

 

  • Experience of dealing with customers effectively
  • Good general IT skills
  • Good communication and analytical skills, with proven ability to present information effectively and appropriately
  • Experience of extracting information and reporting from multiple sources, including databases.

 

What could set you apart

  • A degree or equivalent
  • Previous experience in an energy management or bureau related role.
  • Previous experience in dealing with utility statements, infrastructure and utility suppliers
  • Can demonstrate where you have used your own initiative to come to a resolution

Package Description

Role Title: Assistant Analyst (Energy Bureau)

Salary range: £25,000 per annum 

Contract Type: Permanent 

Location: The Quadrant, Elder Gate, Milton Keynes, MK9 1EN
