Lift and Escalator Manager

Job Introduction

The Lift and Escalator division within Route Services is a busy, challenging and exciting department. The team is currently growing and they are currently working towards making all Network Rail offices and train stations “Access for All (step free)” by 2023.

 

Main Responsibility

We are currently recruiting for a Lift and Escalator (L&E) Manager with Lift engineering experience. The successful applicant will report to the National Delivery Manager and work alongside other the L&E team based on site.

You will help to manage the technical and performance requirements for lift and escalator equipment, including installation, maintenance and renewals. You will project manage the national maintenance and renewal contracts for the lift and escalator division.

The Ideal Candidate

  • Directly accountable and responsible for the Lifts & Escalators department
  • Manage Safety Inspections of Maintenance Contractors to clarify that all working practices are compliant to Network Rail Health and Safety standards.
  • Manage inspections of new lifts and escalators offered to Network Rail from internal and external project schemes to ensure compliance and fit for purpose.  Liaise with all parties for project hand back.
  • Carry out 4 weekly contract review meetings with Maintenance Contractors
  • Manage Regional Office Audits with the maintainers Contract Managers and Branch Managers. Items to be inspected are Maintenance and reactive engineers’ documentation, Invoicing, Examination of Reports close outs, Health and Safety and all correct documentation held on site.

This position is based in London Waterloo

Salary range: £32,740 - £40,925
