Senior Business Analyst

Main Responsibility

As a Senior Business Analyst, you will use your extensive skills and experience in complex IT environments working as part of a Delivery portfolio, acting as the interface between the business, routes, wider IT services, sourcing and suppliers during the end-to-end IT Delivery lifecycle. You may be working simultaneously across multiple projects or as part of a larger single program, identifying requirements, improvements and efficiency changes. You will also manage customer relationships to enable robust scope, support testing and manage third party suppliers to deliver the appropriate solution.

The Ideal Candidate

Essential 

  • Proven business analysis experience in a complex IT environment  
  • Thorough and up to date understanding of analysis approaches, tools and techniques commonly applied in the consulting field 
  • Proven experience in strong stakeholder and relationship management 
  • Analytical thinker 
  • Proven experience of contributing to high level project plans, risk identification, assessment and escalation 
  • Ability to work on multiple projects concurrently 
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills  
  • Able to work well in a team and ability to guide a team 
  • Business process experience
  • Strong experience in Process Frameworks (TOM) and IT Frameworks (ITIL)  
  • Proven knowledge of and ability to apply IT industry best practice knowledge 
  • Flexibility to work across all stages of the ITD lifecycle supporting effective relationships and project delivery. 

Desirable  

  • Risk-based testing experience 
  • BCS/ISEB Diploma in Business Analysis 
  • Knowledge of the railway industry or similar industries 
  • Data modelling experience

Vacancy type:  Permanent, 35 hours per week, Hybrid working of 2/3 days in the office. We welcome applications from those seeking flexible or part time hours.
