Service Delivery Manager - SCO

We’re looking for a Service Delivery Manager (SCO) who can lead the Anglia SCO delivery team to provide service excellence and work with the route to improve SCO services.

In this role, you'll manage internal and supplier activities including delivery of materials, possession trains delivery and On Track Machine requirements for the Route and Seasonal delivery. You'll also act as the main point of contact for day-to-day operational service delivery issues.

The successful candidate will manage the supply chain operations services delivery against an agreed work bank with suppliers, whilst managing customer expectations. This role will require flexibility, confident supplier management and good Microsoft skills, including Excel.

Main Responsibility

  1. Manage the possession train requirements for an agreed work bank.
  2. Manage the deployment of the regional possession wagon fleet.
  3. Review, assess and manage the impact of change to the work bank and agree outcome with customer.
  4. Manage resource conflicts or delivery constraints through to resolution.  
  5. Lead for performance failures to establish base cause and identify actions.
  6. Identify opportunities for improvement initiatives through to implementation.
  7. Manage the flow of accurate performance and contractual data to enable management of specified contracts.
  8. Manager the engagement and development of the team.

The Ideal Candidate

What are skills and experience are we looking for?

Essential

  • Customer focused.
  • Organised and good attention to detail.
  • Able to work under pressure within a continuous planning process.
  • Supplier management experience.
  • Able to evaluate complex factors and make decisions to maximise benefit to Network Rail.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Proven experience of Microsoft packages including Excel and Powerpoint.
  • Able to operate various IT systems.
  • Able to lead a team to deliver service excellence.

Desirable

  • Knowledge of relevant railway geography.
  • Knowledge of Group Standards applicable to possession train delivery.
  • Experience of investigation and report writing.

Salary range: £44,690 - £50,276 per annum.
