Shared Service Administrator [Billings]

About Shared Services

Our Shared Services team deliver specialist processes that have a direct impact on the performance of Network Rail, our customers and suppliers. These services include payroll, accounts, finance, controls and compliance, reporting, recruitment and helpdesk support.

What will you be doing?

The Billings Team are responsible for processing invoices and payments (cheques, BACS, CHAPS, card payments and direct debits) using two separate systems (Oracle and Horizon) you will also process refunds and credit notes. You’ll need to check all payments, allocate cash and undertake reconciliations. You will check all the data you receive to ensure it’s accurate, highlighting and rectifying any issues.

 

Main Responsibility

  • You will manually entre data into two different systems, perform data audits, highlighting and rectifying issues. The information must be accurate, so you’ll need great attention to detail.
  • You will process invoices, cheques, refunds and credit notes, you’ll allocate cash and undertake reconciliations.
  • You will deal with queries from a variety of internal & external stakeholders, so you’ll need good written and verbal communication skills: concise, clear and articulate.
  • Tasks need to be completed within specified timeframes, you’ll need to be well organised and able to priorities to meet KPI’s and SLA’s.
  • You’ll use Excel so need to be confident with data manipulation, filters and pivot tables.

  • Invoice processing experience
  • Cash allocation experience
  • Reconciliation experience

  • Experience within a Shared Services environment
  • Knowledge of Oracle and/or Horizon

Location: Square One, 4 Travis Street, Manchester, M1 2NY

Band: 6

Salary: £17,290 - £22,500 per annum

Full time: 35 hours per week 

Secondment/FTC: 12 Months
