About Shared Services
Our Shared Services team deliver specialist processes that have a direct impact on the performance of Network Rail, our customers and suppliers. These services include payroll, accounts, finance, controls and compliance, reporting, recruitment and helpdesk support.
What will you be doing?
Our Accounts Payable Team oversee the processing of over 400,000 invoices and timesheets for Network Rail. You will be responsible for entering & verifying the accuracy of all invoices and timesheets we received from our suppliers and contractors before processing them through for payment.
You will also be responsible for processing and controlling expense claims for our employees in line with Network Rail’s policies and procedures, such as our travelling expense policy. Working as part of a team to achieve the key performance indicators and targets.
This role offers the perfect opportunity to get a better understanding of how Network Rail operates as a company working in a fast-paced environment. Making sure controls are in place so we can pay our suppliers and contractors correctly and on-time.
Main Responsibility
- You’ll process invoices and timesheets, checking the information, identifying and correcting any errors.
- You will check and process expenses, in line with our internal policies.
- You will deal with queries from a variety of people within the organisation. You’ll need good written and verbal communications skills.
- You’ll work in a fast-paced environment so much have great organisation and prioritisation working towards targets
The Ideal Candidate
- Data entry skills
- Great attention to detail and accuracy
- Have experience of processing high volumes of activity
- Excellent verbal and written skills
What could set you apart
- Knowledge of the system - ORACLE eBusiness Suite experience
- OCR System Experience
Package Description
Role Title: Shared Services Administrator [Payables & COOM]
Salary range: Band 6. £17,290 - £22,500
Contract Type: 6-month secondment / FTC
Location: Square One | 4 Travis Street | Manchester M1 2NY
