Shared Services Administrator [HR Administration] (Full time and Part Time Available)

Our Shared Services team deliver specialist processes that have a direct impact on the performance of Network Rail, our customers and suppliers. These services include payroll, accounts, finance, controls and compliance, reporting, recruitment and helpdesk support.
The HR Admin team are an integral part to our business at Network Rail. They provide support with booking and tracking our employees’ medical competencies to ensure people are safe to do their job and check driving licences for people using our company vehicles and therefore, play a key role in our safety vision of Everyone Home Safe Everyday. The team also preform various HR admin tasks like for example, providing references as and when requested.
Main Responsibility
As a Shared Service Administrator in the HR Admin team you will manage, triage and monitor emails received into team mailboxes and complete the daily KPI tracker as well as use additional data capture tools. You will have access to navigate through various case management systems and complete daily downloads of employee information for analysis, manipulation and upload to the appropriate Network Rail system in line with agreed SLA’s.
In addition, as part of the role you will create and send daily bulk uploads as part of employee medical programme and complete employee references in line with Network Rail Policy requirements. As part of the job, you will produce system exception reports with the use of Excel and play a role in the creation and maintenance of our Standard Operating Procedures and process maps.
Other aspects of the role include, regularly liaising with our employees, including line managers and other stakeholders to effectively respond to various HR Admin related queries and contributing to daily team huddles, presenting team updates on workloads and highlighting any issues.
The Ideal Candidate
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Confident in the use of Microsoft Office packages, including Excel
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbally
- Experience in managing multiple workloads and processes
- Exceptional customer focus/engagement
- Proven administrative / analytical skills
- Experience of delivering continuous improvement

Package Description
Role Title: Shared Services Administrator [HR Administration]
Salary range: £18,018- £20,000 per annum
Contract Type: 6 and 12 month FTC (Full Time and Part Time available)
Location: Square One | 4 Travis Street | Manchester M1 2NY
